Crew Training
The pilots of ACH HAMBURG are subject to the same stringent rules applicable to the big scheduled carriers. Every year they have to perform for example three different flight checks, pass a medical check, demonstrate first aid skills, participate in a safety training, actively participate in fire fighting etc.
The assurance of quality is guaranteed by the Company¼s own Checkers and Flight Training Instructors. They have passed successfully training courses in duly acknowledged institutions and have been approved by the German Federal Aviation Authority (LBA).
In addition to the actual flight training ACH HAMBURG give tuition to its pilots and to other aviation companies on the subjects enumerated below. These course are also approved by the Authority.
Crew Resource Management
Initial
A two day seminar, stressing the non-technical aspects of aviation (human Management factors). It is headed by a Flight-Captain and a certified Psychologist.
Refresher
A one-day seminar enhancing various aspects of the initial course, headed by the same instructors as above.
Dangerous Goods
A one-day seminar familiarising pilots with handling of dangerous goods on board an aircraft. The Trainer is ICAO approved.
Fire
Fighting fire in an aircraft. Seminars held with the assistance of Fire Brigade.
Security
A seminar, designed to develop a sense of possible danger to safety (e. g. aircraft hi-jacking). The training of procedures to be adopted in case of danger to passengers, crew or aircraft under the moderation of a certified Psychologist.
Cosmic radiation protection
Pilots, especially those operating in very high flying jets, may be subject to an Increased cosmic radiation. ACH instruct them in accordance with the German cosmic radiation regulation as to the dangers for their health, that may occur.
